Veteran and First Responder Resources

Our journey, shared. Here, we highlight the organizations and resources that have made a real difference for our team. By sharing our experiences, we aim to guide our veteran and first responder brothers and sisters toward hope and healing, without the guesswork.

Our Journey.

  • Dr. Lynch - Stellate Ganglion Block

It all begins with a first step, this was mine. A Stellate Ganglion Block resets the physical and mental fight or flight response. Think restarting your computer in safe boot mode. This procedure helped me understand what baseline was, long after I had forgotten through combat and life stresses. Dr. Lynch is one of the pioneers in this field and a former Tier 1 physician.

  • Boulder Crest Foundation - PATHH

Once you understand your baseline, it’s critical to learn the skills to keep yourself there and focus on Post Traumatic Growth. The Warrior PATHH is available free to military, first responders and veterans. The course was started by a veteran to serve veterans. Instructors are all graduates of the course, no one can understand or take care of us, like us!

  • Fitness

If we sit still, we RUST! After leaving the military I thought it was the physical demands on my body that caused the pain I felt so I stopped. I learned the hard way, if you stop moving your body and mind will start breaking down. It doesn’t matter what activity you do, get off the couch! Start with a walk if that’s where you are. My physical coaches in the unit never excepted any excuses. If you had a broken arm, “you have three other appendages to work!”
