Honor a Hero Veteran's Day Giveaway: Michael McNeil and Ron Schloemer. These extraordinary veterans exemplify that service to our country and community doesn't end when the uniform comes off. 🇺🇸 Michael McNeil Navy, 1966–1972 (Reserves 1972–1974) | Communications Specialist Member of the rescue team that safely recovered a downed Naval Aviator from Vietnam during the war. Post-Service: Earned his degree in Paper Science Engineering from Miami University (1974). Worked 40+ years in the paper industry across multiple states. Co-owned Miami Machine Corp in Overpeck, OH with his wife, Katie, until 2015. Now retired and deeply active in Oxford: Oxford Rotary member Delivers Meals on Wheels Family owns the White Garden Inn B&B in Oxford, OH ✈️ Ron Schloemer Air Force, 1963–1993 | Pilot & Staff Officer Flew over 200 missions during the Vietnam War. Post-Service: Taught at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business (1997–2011). Kiwanian since 1988 (President 2003–2004). Served on the Oxford Community Foundation. Volunteers as a docent at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, OH. Michael and Ron, thank you for your selfless service; past, present, and future.
